Arts Commissioner for District 2

President of the Board of Supervisors Dave Pine announced that applications are being accepted for appointment to the Arts Commission. There are currently two (2) vacancies on the Commission representing District 2. To be eligible, applicants must be a resident of District 2. To determine your District, please visit https://bos.smcgov.org/ and type in your residential address in the “Find Your District” section of the page.

This ten-member Commission was formed to promote and encourage the arts in San Mateo County; to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors; to provide a community, needs-driven Strategic Plan for the Arts in the county; and to act as a liaison with art organizations to ensure collaboration and coordination related to cultural and art activities in San Mateo County.

Meetings are held bimonthly on the 3rd Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, November, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, 455 County Center, 4th Floor, Conference Room 402, in Redwood City. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 21, 2023 at 5:00 PM.
