An evening with former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo

SMGOP volunteers were invited to help with an event sponsored by Hong Kong Freedom Beacon in October 2021. The organization was founded by Elmer Yuen, a Hong Kong freedom fighter, who invited former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, as the featured speaker. Our volunteers provided assistance to the host with an audience of 1,500+ at the Calvary Chapel in San Jose. Everyone was inspired by the courage of the Hong Kong youths who stood up against being taken over by the Communist Chinese regime.

In addition to Secretary Pompeo and Elmer Yuen, the additional speakers at the event were all courageous men who stood for freedom. Pastor Mike McClure of Calvary Chapel has incurred fees of over $3 million to keep the church open throughout the pandemic. Neil Mammen of Value Advocacy Council, who co-hosted the event, provides an avenue for speakers censored by mainstream media. And Miles Yu, Pompeo’s China policy advisor, has bravely stood up against the Chinese Communist and is barred from returning to his homeland. SMGOP Chairwoman Kramer was able to highlight all their accomplishments as she emceed this incredibly special event.
