  • Central Committee

Central Committee membership is obtained either through appointment by a vote of the majority of Committee members or by filing papers with the Elections Office to be elected during the Presidential Election years.

Ex-officio members are also members of the Central Committee if they are candidates who won top two in a partisan race, elected to a partisan office, or are the top Republican vote getter.

  • Associate Member

Do you want to support the efforts of your San Mateo County GOP? Here's what we are doing… We're recruiting candidates! We have volunteers who monitor our local government's activities and speak out against it's over-reach.

We support our local Law Enforcement, working on School Choice Initiatives, gather Great Speakers for our Social Events and working with the Election Office to raise confidence in our Local Elections.

We actively organize and train volunteers for elections.

  • Alternate Members

Alternate Members serve as a substitute for a Central Committee member when they are not able to make a meeting.

Each Central Committee member can appoint their own alternate who must reside in the same district as the member.

If you would like to be an alternate, please indicate your interest by emailing info@smgop.org.

Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contribution exceeds $200 in an election cycle.

Contributions to San Mateo County Republican Party (Central Committee) are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors, and foreign nationals are prohibited.
